Giant's Park
Brand Identity: Property DevelopmentBackground: Giant’s Park will be Belfast’s first Active Entertainment Park, utilising a 250-acre landmark development site, close to Belfast City Centre.
The vision for this £150m project is to create the most enthralling visitor experience in Belfast and beyond through a combination of commercial, leisure, sporting and mixed-use development, characterised by qualities of originality, functionality, economy and delight.
Our solution: One of our first decisions was to ensure a clean and fresh logo design that would complement a variety of visual material showing the range of activities and attractions offered at Giant’s Park. The butterfly/leaf symbolises the natural, outdoor environment. The rounded square box (with the bottom left corner retaining a right-angle edge), points to the centre of Belfast, thus abstractly portraying the development’s location north-east of the city. Graphically, everything has a reason. The copyline ‘The Really Big Experience’ was a key factor in the presentation of our branding ideas, as Giant’s Park takes it’s name from Cave Hill (overlooking the development), which resembles the shape of a sleeping giant and is said to be the inspiration for Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels.
