HMS Caroline Centenary

Literature: Centenary Brochure

Background: HMS Caroline is the last surviving ship from the Battle of Jutland and has now been completely refurbished as a maritime-themed visitor attraction, sitting proudly in Belfast’s refurbished docks, just upstream from the award-winning Titanic Centre. The commemoration event was held to honour the ship’s centenary as well as the Irish sailors who served in the First World War.

Our Solution: The brochure and related event literature was designed to be sympathetic to the proud history and legacy of this magnificent ship and the role she played in the Battle of Jutland. It gives historical accounts of the largest sea battle of the First World War and tells the story of Caroline’s people and descendants. The distinctive oval shape of the the ship’s bow forms a graphic device that is used throughout the brochure.
